A: We recommend booking your baby’s cake smash session at least 2-3 months in advance of their first birthday to ensure you secure your preferred date. This gives us plenty of time to plan the perfect session, customize the cake, and ensure everything is ready for your little one’s big day. Early booking also helps us accommodate any scheduling preferences you may have and ensures a smooth, stress-free experience for you and your family.
Q. How much does a cake smash photography session cost at Lavender Lane Photography?
A: Our cake smash photography packages start from as low as $500, with our popular most package bring our premium cake smash package which includes not only the studio session, but also a family location session to add some extra special photos of your family. Each package includes professional editing, high-resolution digital images, and the option to purchase more of your beautiful images post session.

A: Our cake smash sessions typically last 1-2 hours. This allows plenty of time for settling and getting to know your child, and capturing a variety of poses during our milestone/family portrait portion, The smash itself as well as a beautiful little bath splash to top it all off. We never rush our sessions to ensure your child feels comfortable and happy throughout.
Q. What should I bring to my cake smash photography session?
A: Please bring:
– Outfits you would like to use for the photography session
– Change of clothes for baby and for yourself – Things can get kind of messy!
– Snacks
– Any special items you’d like included in photos

A: Sessions take place at our professional studio in Chermside West, Brisbane. Our studio is fully equipped with everything needed for our cake smash photography sessions, including our backdrops, claw foot bath tub, a change table and comfortable seating for parents.

A: Each package includes a different number of professionally edited digital images. You’ll have an online gallery to select your favorite images from, and we offer the option to purchase additional images or upgrade your package after viewing.
Q. When will I receive my photos?
A: Your online gallery will be ready for viewing within 2-3 weeks after your session. Once you’ve selected your images, your final edited collection will be delivered within an additional 2-3 weeks.
