Q. What is a milestone photography session?
A: Milestone photography is all about capturing those special moments in your baby’s early stages of life that mark significant milestones and developmental changes. These sessions are designed to celebrate and document key moments, like your little one’s first smiles, their curiosity as they explore the world, or their first attempts at sitting up. The goal is to create timeless images that you and your family can cherish for years to come. Each milestone session is unique to your baby, focusing on their personality, growth, and the beautiful stages they go through during their first year.
Q. When is the best time to book my milestone photography session?
A: To ensure you secure your preferred date and time, we recommend booking your milestone photography session a few weeks in advance. The ideal time for a milestone session is when your little one is at a stage where they’re becoming more interactive and expressive, typically around 6 months. This is when their personalities really start to shine through, making for the most precious and memorable photos. By booking early, we’ll have plenty of time to coordinate and make sure the session fits perfectly into your schedule.
Q. How much does a milestone photography session cost at Lavender Lane Photography?
A: Our milestone photography packages start from as low as $200. Each package includes professional editing, high-resolution digital images, and the option to purchase more of your beautiful images post session.
Q. How long does a milestone photography session take?
A: Milestone sessions vary between 30 minutes up to an hour depending on your chosen package. This allows plenty of time to capturing a variety of poses and get in some cheeky family photos.
Q. What should I bring to my milestone photography session?
A: Please bring:
– Milk/formula
– Dummies/pacifiers (if used)
– Change of clothes for baby
– Any special items you’d like included in photos
Q. Where do the milestone photography sessions take place?
A: Sessions take place at our professional studio in Chermside West, Brisbane. Our studio is fully equipped with everything needed for milestone photography, including all of our sanitized props, a change table and comfortable seating for parents.
Q. Who can attend a milestone session?
A: We encourage both parents and siblings to join in for photos with your little one! If you’d like to include extended family in the session, we ask that the group be kept small to ensure we stay on track. These sessions tend to move quickly, and we want to make sure everyone has the chance to be included without feeling rushed.
Q. What if my baby is not cooperating during the session?
A: Don’t worry! We completely understand that at this age, babies tend to be aware of their surrounding and may feel a bit out of place. We do a lot behind the camera to ensure we still get a beautiful gallery for you. If we need to reschedule a session, we can do so.
Q. I have a milestone session that was booked in with my newborn session, What does that mean?
A: That’s amazing! Lavender Lane’s current promotion with our premium newborn package includes a complementary milestone session once bub is sitting. This package allows you to document your entire journey and saves you money compared to booking separately.
Q. How many photos will I receive?
A: Each package includes a different number of professionally edited digital images. You’ll have an online gallery to select your favorite images from, and we offer the option to purchase additional images or upgrade your package after viewing.
Q. When will I receive my photos?
A: Your online gallery will be ready for viewing within 2-3 weeks after your session. Once you’ve selected your images, your final edited collection will be delivered within an additional 2-3 weeks.
